大英簡明百科光碟版
《大英簡明百科》是遠流 /智慧藏學習科技公司與國際知名的大英百科全書公司，聯手推出的中英對照知識庫，並由智慧藏學習科技公司研發及製作。
《大英簡明百科》 的母本是大英百科全書公司於 2002年推出的英文《Britannica Concise Encyclopedia》紙本書，該書以內容精簡著稱，符合數位時代，快速獲得資訊和以言簡易賅的方式了解知識的特性。經由大英百科全書台灣分公司的編輯部翻譯後，加上原先的英文內容，共約七百五十萬的中英對照的內文，這也是大英百全書公司成立236年以來，第一個雙語內容的產品。原書的英文版本約在2000年左右完成，於2002年出版紙本版之後，大英百科全書公司仍持續修訂、更新，本版英文內容於2002年三月份左右定稿。中文版在翻譯的過程中，亦根據時勢情況及大英百科全文版修訂內容，多有更新修正，並根據中文陳述習慣，稍加改寫，所以本光碟內容的中英對照，並非百分之百的直譯。
本知識庫除了將原有的圖文資料轉換成為數位內容之外，並且以使用者的查詢方便為尊， 提供 全文檢索、分類檢索、中文檢索、外文檢索、注音檢索、筆劃檢索、漢語及通用拼音、地圖、年表、圖片等 檢索和瀏覽的方式。 超越原紙本出版礙於篇幅，無法提供多元的查詢索引的限制，大大提高百科知識的查詢效能。此外，本產品也提供了內文超連結的功能，和人、事、時、地、物的延伸閱讀，讓使用者可以針對不熟悉的知識，藉由內文的超連結，進行非線性的閱讀，有效建構個人完整的知識架構。
